DMX Digital/Dynamic Motion X-ray is a trade name for videofluoroscopy. Whereas a regular x-ray is like a photograph, DMX is like a movie. Instead of a single exposure, DMX produces 30 x-rays per second making it possible to visualize the actual movement of vertebrae. This makes it possible to identify some injuries which would otherwise go undetected. Our DMX system has identified fractures and other serious injuries in cases previously described as normal.

Laser therapy, also known as low-level laser or light therapy, is a treatment that utilizes specific types of light to interact with tissue. It is used to eliminate pain and has clinically been proven to be an effective treatment for a broad range of medical conditions including musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, soft tissue damage, and sport injuries. BIOFLEX patented technology has been approved by the FDA, Health Canada, UL and CE, includes more than 30 standard protocols* for the treatment of a wide range of medical conditions.

The essential difference between an Atlas Orthogonal and other chiropractic techniques is that the Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractor adjusts the atlas (the top bone in the neck) using the Atlas Orthogonal Precision Adjusting Instrument. This instrument produces a gentle percussive force. The patient lies on one side, the doctor places the tip of the instrument below the patient's earlobe, barely touching the skin. The head of the instrument sends an energy wave through the tip, therefore placing the atlas in the correct position.

Atlas Orthogonal corrects subluxation of the Atlas (C1 vertbra) using a gentle correction, not manipulation or cracking and popping. X-rays are taken to measure the displacement of the Atlas in three different planes, from the top, the front, and the side.

X-rays taken in flexion and extension are often referred to as stress radiographs. By observing the translation and rotation of the individual vertebrae in response to forward and backward bending of the spine, excessive motion due to ligament disruption can be detected. Commonly referred to as soft tissue injury, or sprain/strain, damage to ligaments and other soft tissues can be extremely disabling.
While establishment experts are often dismissive of soft tissue injury describing it as a benign self limiting condition, stress x-rays clearly prove that ligament injuries are not always as forgiving as they may suggest and may be demonstrated as permanent impairment years after a traumatic injury has occurred. |
